The reason for a mark being knocked off is that the ehu can only go in one side of the tent. The living area is adequate for a family of four but would be a bit of a squeeze with 6 people in it. The pump now ensures that you cannot over inflate which seems to have been the issue for most people and it is surprising how rigid the beams are at a relatively low pressure. I have to say, after some reviews, I was a little worried about it but after 4 trips, admittedly with only a little rain, I cannot fault it. It was bought last year at a slight discount, being the 2011 model. We tend to stay places only for a couple of days at most and the ease of putting it up and taking it down make this an ideal tent.

The tent really does go up in ten minutes, which is great when you have 2 very impatient young children with you. I would not recommend buying this tent until there are a lot more improvements made.Ģ from 3 people found this review helpful, was it helpful to you?īy: Malcolmtrot Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2011 Rating: The idea of a tent which can be erected in a very few minutes is great, however there should have been more research and testing before it went on sale to the public. If we had known of the problems with this tent, we would not have bought it.

We are adults and we have trouble, so what would it be like for children, who wouldn’t take the time to gently pull the zip down whilst holding the holding back the material. The tent is far from waterproof, there was water everywhere, some of it because of the deflating tubes, but when the wind blew hard, water was coming in through the roof, also our bedding was soaked on the side the wind was blowing from.Īnother gripe are the zips, these are not very sturdy and are constantly catching in the material, it doesn’t matter how carefully you pull the zip up and down. The price of these tubes are £35 and £45 for small and large tubes respectively, costing us £80 to repair what is already an expensive tent. Use for the first time this year, two of the collars holding the inflation valve were perished and only stayed up for 30 minutes tops, of course the tent is now out of warranty.

We contacted Vango and they sent us a replacement tube free of charge. We have used this tent 3 times and twice the inner tubes have gone down, the first time one of the tubes had two punctures. This worked well for me, however, in wet or windy conditions I would use more. I went up to about 2.8 PSI during the day, when the sun was on the tent and increased the pressure to just over 3 at night. Instructions on how much air to put into these type of tents seems to vary from website to website, tent to tent and from year to year. This tent is large with plenty of space for some furniture. Quick and easy to erect and even quicker and easier to take down and pack away into its 'roller' bag. On both occasions the weather was warm, dry and sunny with little or no wind and in these conditions the tent was just great. I like Nicdak have also just purchased this tent and have used it on two recent weekend breaks away. Pricewise, yes it was expensive but an absolute must for single parents who want to maximise enjoyment and minimise stress!ĥ from 6 people found this review helpful, was it helpful to you?īy: Happydave Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2012 Rating: So easy to put up, no whinging from my son that he's bored and lots of admiring glances from fellow campers! During the second week of use we did experience a slight leak to the side of one of the inner tubes but this appeared to be a one off and hasn't occurred again. The eternity's performance has been faultless really. I finally bought it in May and haven't stopped using it! So far we've had 4 weeks away and several weekends, with a mix of weather from scorching hot to amber gale force warnings. My local stockists, Raglan camping and kite centre were fab! They let me um and ahh over several weeks and even let me have a go at pitching one prior to purchase. I've been camping for the past 2 years, with my 5 yr old son and as a single mum, thought the idea of this tent seemed great. 6 from 6 people found this review helpful, was it helpful to you?īy: Morgansmum Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2012 Rating:
